Athlete. Born August, 27, 1996, in Houston Texas. Rarely has a driver come along that represents the complete package better than Ryan Luza. His smile lights up rooms. His "aw shucks" Southern attitude wins hearts in an instant. His boy next door looks and charm appeals evenly to men, women, and children . And on top of all that, he started winning races at an early age.
From his early days in pre school, Ryan always focused on his dream of racing. When he was barely tall enough to reach the gas pedal Ryan began driving Go Karts. Once his Dad realized he had the nack for driving he moved him into a part time racing series in Waller Texas racing Go Karts.
It didn't take long before Ryan began winning on the local short tracks around the Houston area. That's when Ryan's Dad decided to go outside the state of Texas and try his sons hand against stiffer competition. Ryan held his own winning many a National tites along the way. Moving out of the Go Kart series Luza moved up to race in the Legends Series and run at much faster speeds. Luza never blinked an eye and won the track championship at Houston Motorsports Park which has now allowed him to move into the Whelen Nascar Late Model Division.
Off the track, Luza spends his time in the weight room, playing basketball with his cousins, and school work. Ryan will graduate from Cypress Creek High School in 2014 with Summa Cum Laude Honors.
